I utilise creative arts integrative therapy to assist people who have difficulties expressing their feelings verbally. By following the lead of the individual, I encourage people to explore and discover issues that are affecting them in a safe environment. These therapies work with the natural human impulse to engage with and react to the arts, whether that is music, art, drama, etc.
Creative arts therapy can involve the use of things like art, music, drama, dance/movement, poetry/creative writing, Bibliotherapy, play or sandplay to allow a person to express thoughts and feelings they may struggle to otherwise articulate. By adopting an integrative approach, I am able to foster awareness, encourage emotional growth, and enhance relationships with others.
